Driving Change through Woman Empowerment, Conservation, and Sustainable Practices

We are dedicated to uplifting women through education, skill development, and advocacy for gender equality. Our initiatives include training programs for women in rural communities, promoting economic independence through sustainable livelihoods, and advocating for policies that ensure equal opportunities. The Exploring Womanhood Foundation supports women in becoming leaders in their communities, fostering confidence and resilience.

Skill Development Programs for SHGs

Promoting and motivating women empowerment activities through skill development programs for Self Help Groups (SHGs), fostering economic independence. Training in traditional crafts and modern skills. Support for entrepreneurial ventures.

Awareness Against Sexual Harassment & Domestic Violence

Conducting crucial awareness campaigns and workshops about legal provisions against sexual harassment (POSH) and domestic violence at the workplace and in communities. Workshops on POSH and POCSO Acts. Promoting safe and respectful environments.

Health Check-up Programs & Hygiene Initiatives

Organizing health check-up programs and distributing essential hygiene items like sanitary pads to women in forest-dwelling communities, addressing critical health needs. Regular health screenings. Promoting menstrual hygiene awareness.

Key Programs

Skill Development Workshops: We conduct tailoring and handicraft workshops for women in rural Maharashtra, enabling them to create sustainable livelihoods through our handloom boutique.
POSH Training: As a certified POSH trainer, Deepali Deokar leads workshops on Prevention of Sexual Harassment, educating over 500 women across workplaces in Pune and Nagpur.
Leadership Summits: Our annual summits bring together women from tribal and urban areas to share success stories and network with global advocates, including events at the G20 C20 Gender Equality Group.

IMPACT

Since 2014, we’ve trained over 2,000 women in vocational skills, with 60% securing independent income sources. Our advocacy has influenced local policies, increasing women’s representation in conservation roles by 15% in Pench Tiger Reserve.
