Special Tiger Protection Force and women from Pride of Pench Raksha Bandhan is a day celebrated for admiring the relations of Brothers and Sisters.
Today Exploring Womanhood Foundation organized and sponsored a special program at Pench Tiger Reserve where women of a local Self Help Group, “Pride of Pench” celebrated Rakhi with Special Tiger Protection Force, who worked for protection of Forest and wildlife in Pench landscape.
There are various programs for Indian Army Jawan for rakhi and we consider the STPF Jawan as important as them. The local SHG will get benetted by Pench which is protected by STPF so it’s really an unsung relationship between locals and Forest rangers.
The rakhi used in program is specially made by local ladies from Pride of Pench Self Help Group(SHG) and Khun fabric provided by Exploring Womanhood Collection and provided special assistance for rakhi making by the Exploring Womanhood Foundation.
All rakhis are made up from Maharashtra and Karnatka traditional fabric “Khun”. These rakhis are designed and made by local woman of Pride of Pench.
We are really thankful to all Forest rangers working for forest and wildlife conservation through out the world. This program is for all of you. Special thanks to ACF Mahesh Parab sir and all STPF Jawans and administration of Pench Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra..
Happy Raksha Bandhan..
